Brackish - Lithopedion C20

First EP from Brackish. Features genre smattering takes on so-called 'industrial' and 'harsh noise' sounds. There's some definite quirk and conviviality in the synth leads throughout the first half of the first side, bracketed by blistering static, classic crunch and a few well placed samples.

The latter track on the A side, I'm told on good authority, has taken an appropriate amount of influence from time spent listening to Dead Body Love's "Emetic".

There's also a collaborative long-form track with Aurinko on Side B.

Edition of 40 new stock cassettes, with two tone colour and black toner. Every copy is personalised, half are dubbed by M.I., the other half by L.B, and have alternate collage on insert.

Cassette ships early October 6th.

Puddle - The Gift That Keeps on Giving C60 and CC & TILES - Subaru is Somehow Related to the Pleiades CDr

Two new releases from some of the noisiest of Brisbane's noise practitioners, and a first foray into CDr.
Available from Minimal Impact August 9th 2023.

Debut from new harsh noise project Puddle. Solo output from Dan Valetic. Puddle takes influence from the glut of contemporary Americanoise, citing Worth's Blinder LP as as well as classic Japanoise such as C.C.C.C. Strong anti-industrialism sentiments throughout.

Edition of 40 on new old stock and close-to-identical recycled cases. Features double sided A4 insert, with a two tone print on on the A side.

Read the full release statement by Puddle below.

"The destruction industry; a construction of an empire. Mutilation of the land and contamination of the waters. Pollute the atmosphere and suffocate life. Society loses its structure without concrete and steel. Mechanised monsters feast on the flesh of mother nature. The torment and torture of earth; a sadistic power with no limits. All in the name of profit. Filth and greed. Bound and gagged by the cogs of capitalism. Products of a conveyor belt. A perpetual cycle of monotony. Barcode printed. Gentrified lives and commodified worth. The dangers of development lead to the inevitable death of progress. We are not machines. We are human. Brainwashed by cancerous technology. Controlled and monitored. Always watching and always watched. Ultra surveillance state. A deeply poisoned, rotten system. We are all complicit. Meet your maker. Feeding the fire of capital gain. Evil is as evil does… For it is the gift that keeps on giving. Visualise industrial collapse. As the nightmare of total annihilation has only just begun."

All Material performed by Puddle. Recorded directly to both tape and flash memory at P.B.P. by Tristan Eyles in May '23. Additional mixing by T.E.

Individual art assets and logo by Puddle, additional assets and collage by Minimal Impact.

Scuzzed out synth blasts, harsh broken down sounds from these two Brisbanites. Fast swerving into the wrong lane, single handed death driving. First foray into the CDr format. The two tracks contained within are slow burners perfect for car stereo playback.

Recorded straight to tape at Smooth/Striated Space, Rocklea 21.6.21.

Discs have been professionally duplicated from a high quality tape rip, and feature full colour thermal printing. Edition of 50 in recycled (but good quality) jewel cases.

Joint Minimal Impact and Transcription Services release.

S27E152 - A.D.T.F. C60 and Cristian Usai - Lily's Memories C30

Hopeless, mid-fi decompositions from this "anonymous" project. Longer form, dedicated noise aktions across the full two sides of the C60. Fecundity wrapped in a Woolworths reusable plastic bag.

First new material in seven years. Edition of 25 with two panel paper insert.

Cristian Usai (Inferior Press Productions, Opera D'Acciaio, Neomortoria, et al), brings us a series of breezy synth-led mood tracks on the seemingly highly personal, Lily's Memories. The first three tracks stay just no longer than what is welcome and gradually lead us from lusty, vintage memories, into a haze of morbidity and newfound capabilities.

The leading track on the B Side 'Dive and Die' is welcomed and heartfelt break, finishing a little on the shorter side but leaving me wanting a little more from the crackling, barked vocals.

Edition of 25 recycled cassettes with two panel paper insert. Assorted norelco style cases.
